B2B ROLLING DOOR MOTOR BUYING GUIDE · UPDATED 18 SEPTEMBER 2026

Choose a rolling door motor from the facts that matter.

A model number alone is not enough for a reliable quotation. Gather the door requirement, local voltage, phase, frequency, technical details and quantity first; then compare the motor range with confidence.

Rolling door application with remote control

How should a buyer choose a rolling door motor beyond the kg label?

Choose a rolling door motor from the door dimensions, curtain mass, lifting height, roller or shaft arrangement, required torque and speed, voltage, phase, frequency, controller and operating cycles—not from the kg label alone. Compare model-specific parameters and ask the supplier to state the compatibility assumptions before replacing or quoting a motor.

SELECTION CHECKLIST

Five details to send before asking for a quotation.

  1. 01
    Door and lifting requirement

Confirm the door type, opening dimensions and required lifting height before comparing motor models.

  2. 02
    Local electrical requirement

Confirm the available voltage, whether the supply is single phase or three phase, and the exact frequency. Ask about a DC solution separately where required.

  3. 03
    Advancing-force range

Use the required advancing-force range as a starting point, then confirm the final door configuration with the supplier.

  4. 04
    Roller and drive details

Share the roller diameter and chain requirement where available so the technical match can be checked.

  5. 05
    Quantity and branding

For B2B supply, state the planned quantity and whether a private-label program is required.

Compare 300, 500, 600, 800 and 1000 kg.f advancing-force options. A 400 kg request needs a separately confirmed configuration, not interpolated specifications.

SELECTION ANSWERS · REVIEWED 6 SEPTEMBER 2026

Before you select a rolling door motor.

For shopfront shutters, warehouse openings and garages using a rolling-door mechanism, start with the door and installation details below. A sectional garage door, sliding gate or swing gate needs its own operator assessment.

What do 300, 500, 600, 800 and 1000 kg rolling door motor ratings mean?

These are common purchasing labels. Our parameter sheet states advancing force in kg.f, not a universal approved door mass. Compare torque, roller diameter, lifting height and the actual door mechanism before selecting a motor.

Can I request a 400 kg rolling door motor?

Yes. Send a 400 kg requirement for model matching. A separate 400 kg specification is not listed in our current sheet, so we confirm the configuration before quoting; we do not substitute guessed power or torque values.

Are all Chinese rolling door motors with the same kg rating interchangeable?

No automatic interchangeability is promised. Our listed values describe the supplied configurations. Check voltage, phase, frequency, mounting, chain, roller and controller before replacing another motor, even when the kg label is the same.

Which power supply should I specify?

The AC sheet lists 220V single-phase and 380V three-phase configurations. Frequency, permissible voltage variation and alternative electrical versions must be confirmed for the order. Do not select the supply only by country name.

Can these motors be used outdoors or for intensive operation?

Provide the installation exposure, ambient temperature, daily cycles and busiest operating period. The current parameter sheet does not specify IP rating, operating temperature or duty cycle. We confirm these requirements before recommending a configuration; the figures are not approval for continuous use.

What is included with the motor?

Confirm a written packing list before ordering. Control handles are also sold separately. The exact controller, remotes, chain-drive components, brackets and other accessories depend on the agreed kit; a product photo is not a packing list.

Technical values: owner-supplied AC/DC parameter sheets. Installation suitability, safety devices and local requirements must be checked by a qualified installer. This is a procurement guide, not an installation manual.

IMPORTANT

Confirm the final installation configuration before ordering.

The listed parameters help you start the discussion. The final product match should be confirmed against the actual door, local electrical conditions and installation requirements. For an installed system, start with the replacement checklist. Use the rolling shutter motor RFQ template to send complete inputs, then use the supplier checklist to compare the response.
